Check out these unique finds at Araneta City’s
Support Lokal bazaar
In case you
missed it, the City of Firsts is supporting local microbusinesses striving in
this pandemic through the Support Lokal bazaar at the Gateway Mall from September
14 to 21.
The
week-long bazaar features bags, accessories, food, and all sorts of interesting
finds sourced from native products and ingredients and sold by our Pinoy
entrepreneurs.
Here are some of the unique products that you can buy for a reasonable price this weekend to support the local business industry.
Personalized
purses made from genuine cow leather
Cow leather
is regarded as one of the most versatile and durable leathers there is, making
it the perfect material for wallets and coin purses. Despite the high quality,
the cowhide wallets available at the Support Lokal bazaar come at surprisingly
affordable prices ranging from Php 50 – Php 150

These wallets are handcrafted from locally sourced leather and are available in plain colors or with unique patterns and designs. The vendors even offer to sew your name into the items for free giving it a more personalized touch.
Delicious
Pinoy delicacies
Looking for
the perfect treat for your family and friends? Check out the native delicacies
being sold at the bazaar for your weekend fix of sweets and goodies. Available
are delicious all-natural spreads like creamy peanut butter (Php 150) and coco jam (Php 80). These
spreads are homemade with no added preservatives for a great natural pairing with
your coffee.
Pasalubong
staples like dried peanuts, polvoron, and banana chips are also available for
your pika-pika needs. It’s hard to go wrong with these simple but delicious
treats.

Coconut products
Coconuts
are one of the most important products in the Philippines, with it being one of
our primary products exported to under countries. It is no surprise that many
local entrepreneurs have come up with unique ways to use every part of the
fruit ensuring nothing goes to waste.
Which is
why one can easily find twists to classic coconut products such as spicy coconut
vinegar, delectable coconut jam, and all-natural coconut sugar - guaranteed to be a delicious yet healthier alternative to the store bought items that we've grown accustomed to.

Handwoven items
The
Philippines is currently the world’s top Abaca producer, with many local
products making use of the flexible yet durable leaf to make a wide assortment
of goods.
Available in the bazaar are bags, slippers, and purses made entirely out of handwoven abaca leaves and other durable plant products. The simple yet elegant styles are distinctly local – but one can remain confident that these items will last for a long time. The best part is that they are very affordable only costing Php 150 - Php 200 each

Vinegar
with a punch!
If you like your vinegar strong and spicy, then the Takuza Vinegar is perfect for you! Marketed as vinegar with a kick, this tangy concoction is filled to the brim with red and green peppers that have been allowed to ferment for that special kick.
Be sure to check out these wonderful products
at the Support Lokal bazaar from 10 a.m – 8 p.m at the Gateway Mall Activity
Area. Not only will you be getting quality and budget friendly items, but you
will also be supporting our local businesses!
