How to manage mild COVID-19 symptoms at home

According to the Department of Health, the National Capital Region continues to hold the highest number of confirmed COVID-19 positive cases nationwide.

With issues of congestion and high occupancy rate in healthcare facilities in the metro, home care for individuals with mild COVID-19 cases is a recommended option.

In support of the fight against the continuous rise in COVID-19 transmissions, Araneta City is sharing some tips from Ingat Angat, a private sector-led campaign that aims to re-start the Philippine economy by empowering Filipinos with vigilance, on how to manage mild COVID-19 at home.

Home care management

Common symptoms of mild COVID-19 are fever, dry cough, sore throat, and tiredness. In some cases, patients also experience aches and pains, diarrhea, conjunctivitis, headache, loss of taste or smell, a rash on the skin, and/or discoloration of fingers or toes.

Once you have any of the abovementioned symptoms, there is no need to immediately go to the hospital. These symptoms can be cured and remedied at home in an isolated but well-ventilated room. You may also seek help from a healthcare provider via phone consultation or online appointment.

For your medical needs, a number of drugstores and clinics are open in Araneta City. Check out this link for details.
