As the Gateway Mall 2 gears itself in opening its doors, more and more stores and restaurants are teasing us with what the mall has to offer to its patrons. Another restaurant to add to your food adventure list is the all-Filipino restaurant, Abe.
Abe, a well-known Kapampangan restaurant, has opened its new branch at Araneta City’s highly-anticipated Gateway Mall 2. The new addition is located on the ground floor of the mall, just across the mall’s Lagoon.
The Gateway Mall 2 branch of Abe has a modern Filipino interior design. Upon entering the restaurant, you’ll notice that it has chairs made of rattan, and its function room/restaurant wall dividers are in capiz panels, giving the patrons a more traditional Filipino culture vibe. The wall is mounted with various paintings made by the late artist-writer, gourmet and bon vivant E. Aguilar “Abe” Cruz, father of restaurateur and founder of Abe, Larry J. Cruz.
“Where good friends dine,” reads on the heading that you will see above the counter of Abe, welcoming guests who want to spend quality time over a medley of unique concepts of Kapampangan recipes. The menu features a wide variety of dishes, including classic Kapampangan dishes, as well as modern Filipino cuisine with a twist, such as Sinigang Sa Ube, Sinigang na Boneless Bangus Fillet with Ripe Guava, Sinantol na Hipon, Lamb Adobo, and their renowned dessert Sikreto ni Maria.
Diners may also have the option to dine alfresco, facing the Gateway Mall 2’s Lagoon, and feel more relaxed with the sound of the rippling water, or inside the main dining area of Abe. Having a meeting or intimate lunch/dinner with family or friends? Abe Gateway Mall 2 also has function rooms that can cater for your personal events.
Planning to dine with your dear friends and family with a view of the Lagoon? Visit Abe on the Ground Floor of the New Gateway Mall 2 from 10:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M.
